We understand that dropping off your dog for boarding, daycare, or grooming can bring a mix of feelings. Before your pup’s first visit, they’ll need to undergo a temperament test. While you wait, you’re welcome to take a tour of our facility. On the day of their initial appointment, you’ll meet with a team member to check your dog in for their service. From that point on, we prioritize open and proactive communication between our staff and pet owners.
Throughout the entire process, we remain committed to ensuring that pets feel safe, calm, and happy. Although the procedures may differ slightly depending on the service, here’s a general overview of what you can expect:
1) Arrival and Check-In
If your pet is new to Playtime, we’ll have you fill out a questionnaire to gain a comprehensive understanding of your dog, its needs, and any considerations to prioritize.
When you arrive for check-in, we discuss your dog’s needs and preferences to ensure they’ll be addressed during their stay. For consistency in care, detailed records are kept for current and future visits.
2) Daily Routine and Care
Based on your dog’s temperament evaluation and the preferences you’ve shared, they will be placed in a customized group designed for their specific needs. The boarding or daycare plan you choose will also dictate their playgroup, exercise routine, mealtimes, nap periods, and the amount of one-on-one attention they receive.
3) Grooming and Spa Treatments
If grooming and spa services are scheduled, your dog will receive the treatments you selected during your booking. Treatments include:
- Bathing
- Blow-drying
- Brushing
- Haircut and styling
- Additional add-ons available
Gentle, low-stress techniques are used for each treatment, and only high-quality grooming products are chosen based on your dog’s coat and skin type.
4) Communication with Pet Parents
Communication is everything, and that’s why we’re committed to regularly updating pet owners throughout their pet’s stay. Looking for additional updates? You can check in any time, we’re more than happy to let you know how your dog is doing.
5) Final Review and Pick-Up
Depending on the service your dog receives, we’ll conduct a final review to make sure everything is satisfactory before you arrive for pick-up to be reunited with your happy pup.
